Original Victorian bisque piano baby by Conta Boehme of Germany. Piano babies became popular in the Victorian Era and were used to keep the decorative shawls in place on the piano top. Most original piano babies date between 1880-1900. This baby is darling! Conta Boehme piano babies all had yellow dresses with pink or lavender bows and had the fiery hair. The positions varied, and some of the babies are holding different items. They came in many sizes.
